I was looking for a headphone jack on the Xbox 360 so I could plug my Ipod headphones into it and listen like that. (like at night)

But the only jack I can find is the one where you hook up your Xbox mic into...but that won't fit for normal headphones. Is there a STANDARD size headphone jack somewhere on the system that i'm missing?

Nope, there isn't a headphone jack but you can buy headphones specially made for gaming on consoles. I forgot what they were called though you'll have to look around

Look for a headphone jack on whatever your sound comes from, whether it be a TV or Surround Sound system, most have a headphone jack

the 360 doesnt have speakers, it just outputs audio into your tv. It doesnt play music without a tv.

You wouldnt plug it into the 360 anyways, it doesnt work like that, you plug it into either your sound system or if you have a newer tv like an hdtv and dont use a seperate sound system into there.

you can get a splitter cable (I have one) that the rca audio from your xbox hook into and it turns them into a stereo headphone jack. You could prolly get it at radio shack for like $5

Nope. The last console to have an actual headphone jack was Sega Genesis model 1. "Xbox 360" and "Xbox360 S" never had a headphone jack on the console. The jackis on the Xbox 360 controller for the headset. However there are some decentwireless headphones for Xbox 360 if you do like the Microsoft branded one included with the console.

Turtle beachbranded are decent. Logitechbranded is not too bad either. So there is some options for headphones/headsets that are better than the MS standard included with Xbox 360 consoles.
