new console problem

Had a replacement xb1 due to constant freezing but has anyone else noticed after you press the power button there's a noise after it which is kind of like a pc noise when it's turned on if that makes sense? It also makes it when I'm turning it off and I'm hoping it's not another dodgy unit. Could just be the noise of the hdd coming on? It's hard to explain.

Not sure but it's like a split second brrp like something is being actioned to go on or off.

Is it the CD drive possibly? They can make that "brrp" noise sometimes.

@wegngis: possibly but it's when there's no disc in.

The split second brrrp is normal, I had a problem with coil whine, it was a constant ringing noise coming from the system. Got a new 1tb console and so far so good fingers crossed.

Probably the HDD spinning down.
