Hey I'm planning to get a new Xbox 360 arcade console but I'm just wondering if a 20GB hard drive will work on a arcade console.

Any memory card and HDD will work with every console.

That will work, but right now the best deal out there is the 60GB pro bundle. You get a headset, 3 months free of gold, and 2 free games.
