My disc tray wont open!

Alright, whenever I press the button to open up the disc tray,NOTHING happens at all, no lights flash, no sounds, nothing. It doesn't recognize it at all.. Is there anything I can dobesides sending it in to microsoft?

This happened to my 2nd xbox 360, i just sent it in and they sent me a new one, because there was problems with the disc drive and the lense.

look at the link I posted. It will show you what the 4 lights mean.

try moving the actual tray that comes out, try moving it or something. Only thing I can come up with. The 4 red light means it's the AV cable.

try setting it on it's side. Mine never opens when it's standing up.mohfrontline

I got it to open! But I have to press hard on the button for it to open, is that a bad thing? Will the opening switch give out soon?RJB1994

i had a similar situation, except i could actually hear my disc drive trying to open but it wouldnt. i had to send mine in for repairs and it was free because it was still under warranty.
