My 360 is EATING my games!! wtf!?

My Gears of War works about 25% of the time when trying to play online.  I ALWAYS keep my disk in its case and NEVER travel with games in my 360.  When looking at the disk it is perfectly clean (no smudges at all), but there are small cuts all along one side with perfect curves (somehow cut while it is spinning inside the 360).  This is the SECOND game that my 360 has destroyed.  I think it's about time I use my warranty.

Yeah I agree, mine just refuses to play certain games consistantly (like R6) But what would microsoft do about it????? They are stingy at best and would NEVER refund a new box based on 'my games sometimes dont play'spoonman567

That happend with my first Gears disk, it actually broke the disk in half. It's odd since the console was not moved.

Call technicall support silly :) And send your 360 to them to get it fixed.

I got my 360 as soon as it came out, but it wasnt untill 6 months later untill it just started eating my games, the hungry bugger!Well anyway apparantly I got a defective one. Sometimes they take awhile before they totally poop out on you.

On my 360 it would just have little scratches after playing a gamer for awhile. But soon the problems got worse. On its horizontal position as I always have it it soon wouldnt even read the games at all. So It was declared dead!

But my best bet is to call technical support and say my 360 has died!!!

lol i dont know about in half...but my pd0 game got like electronically scratched and so did my gears of war.  My gears of war game looks like a big watermark but ive never spilled anything on it.  Its on the Shiny film part underneath the plastic.

I've already posted this on a similar thread but its the Xboxes eye.

When it reads discs with its laser, it sometimes damages them and you get a perfect ring of scratches around the outer rim of the disc. Its called laser burn ( or another form of Ring of Death:P)

The only way around it is to get the disc professionaly re-surfaced for a few euro..

The main cause of it is moving the Xbox with a disc in the drive, regardless of whether the thing is on or not.

IT says in the 360 manual to have the 360 horizontal on a flat, non-moving surface.

never feed it after midnight.
