Mass Effect? Or another game?

I can buy one game from Best Buy. I heard that Mass Effect is an excellent game and I am really in to RPG. But, I am also into these games and I wanted to ask you what you recommend for me? Here are the games. Tell me which one is better:

1) Mass Effect.

2) Assassin's Creed.

3) Virtua Fighter 5.

4) The Orange Box.

20 hrs? I've done like 30 hours so far and haven't finished.

If I bought the game and played it on the highest difficulty from the beginning (normal?) and did all the side quests...how long would it take me to beat the game?
