Anyone who uses Martyrdom is saying this: I suck at this game too much to kill you when I am alive, so I will try to do it in an unrealistic fashion after you kick my ass. I hate that perk as much as I hate Juggernaut. /sigh Infinity Ward needs to smoothen some things out with COD4.
I thought you started with it, but I could be wrong. Anyway Last Stand makes you bleed out slowly when you got shot anywhere except the head, in this state you can't throw grenades or shoot any weapon but your sidearm. However, in the short period of time you have you can do some serious damage if you have a good shot.
Martyrdom. And you can whine all day about no skill but the fact is that it's a level playing field when everyone has the ability to choose it, if you hear a tinkle tinkle, maybe you should back away. Personally I laugh when I get nailed by one, and I laugh when I get somebody with one.
last stand. this one time I got shot by a snipe in the crossfire map. I shot him with my last stand all the way from across the map:P great wtf moment lol
nothing wrong with martyrdom. if you cant see the grenade indicator quick enough, and if you're not expecting it, then its your own fault. i dont like last stand personally, cos a) it wastes precious time, b) if the dude using it kills you, then it leaves it open for someone to come steal your kill.
martyrdom is great because it annoys people! and even you **** and moan about it, im allowed to use it to make up for not using stopping power or juggernaut.
I suggest including the game you are talking about in your first post, because anybody that has not played it will not know what you are talking about. Although, about the question at hand, I much prefer martyrdom! Its such a brilliant idea.
i think ima go with niether...but if i had to chose then ill go with last stand because martyrdom is completely stupid how can you drop a gernade right when you die???
I'm still trying to decide but I prolly get more kills with martyrdom. People talk about how cheap it is but the first rule of COD4 is to back away or run out of a room as soon as you kill somebody. Once I got in this habit I haven't been killed by martyrdom.
Last stand is fun though and I use it for my sniper since I almost always get killed from a distance instead of close up. Occasionally, I will get somebody with it. A lot more satisfying than martyrdom. I can almost hear them say 'WTF?!' on the other end. It's also fun to sit there and not end it but just plink away at the dude who killed you while he tries to figure out what is going on. I've gotten a handful of kills that way too.
I prefer Last Stand. I've killed up to four or five players in Last Stand and you get double points for the kills. Martyrdom is a decent way to achieve posthumous kills, but the opportunity to get numerous kills is slim.
Martyrdom all the way. Here's the thing, it's in the game for a reason so use it if you want to. All those people who **** about it are the ones who have prestiged 5 times already and are just that much of sore losers. Think of it this way, ever seen the movie THE PROFESSIONAL with Jean Reno playing Leon the hitman. Remember the end when Gary Oldman kills him, rolls him over and Leon hands him the pin from the grenade vest he's wearing and BOOM. Same idea. It levels the playing field. It's like saying " Yeah I'm going down but I'm taking you with me". I love it and when I get killed by it, I don't get mad I just try to pay attention next time to the grenade indicator. You don't hear those of us who don't play that much complaining because we haven't got the .50 cal yet do you? Shut up and play complainers. Oh and I don't like last stand much, cause I don't seem to get many extra kills with it.
