L4d or Fallout 3?

Which one should I get?

Im planning on getting the other for christmas or something but I mean on realease day?

I want to get L4d because I need some games to play when Me and Mi amigos are kickin back and feel like playin some games. And its a zombie killing FPS, something ive been waiting for Valve to make (You all knew they would eventually with all the CSS zombie mods!).

But I also own the other three fallouts (counting Tactics) and theyre among my faves, However im a little afraid that the games quest structure might be a bit too close to Oblivions, and not the true freedom of the previous two, where you could beat the game in 30 minutes or less, if you so chose.

Soooo, what do you guys (and girls) think?

And dont go "BOTH CAUSE IMA GETTING BOTH!!! LOLZ3R5 !!11 CAKE PIE!!!" Because thats just annoying and unhelpful.

Fallout 3 focuses on a large single player game; whereas, Left 4 Dead is focused on co-operative multiplayer. Either way, they are both going to be a good buy. If you're worried that Fallout 3 will be too short, then buy Left 4 Dead.

What makes you think Fallout 3 is going to be short?

The others COULD be beaten quickly IF you already knew where everything was and made a character with a good sneak skill and rushed to everything. BUt it was also very replayable because of how fun it was to try things different ways. and If you didnt rush and had a mod to take away the day limit, then you could play for days and not find everything!

L4d could be short, the randomness of the Director meant games could take anywhere from 45 minutes to hours depending on how lucky you where and what happened in the game. Not to mention that its extremely replayable because of the Director and eventual DLC.

I think you should get fallout 3 ... as much as L4D looks quite entertaining and actually does have a good replay value. I'd still choose fallout 3, I've been playing it for the last 2 days, my local incompotent ebgames gave it to me before the release date (2 days ago) and I have to tell you Fallout 3 is an incredible experience. The amount of choice and how your choices impact the story and the world around you is incredible. Not to mention the endless amounts of fun roaming around a nuclear aftermath Washington D.C!!jonnyfromfar

Why did YOU have to get the retarted Eb games while Im left with the only Gamespot in the world that has employees that actually know what theyre talking about!

My suggestion would be to get Left 4 Dead on release mainly cause it has split-screen multi-player as well as online so you can play with your friends over the holidays and then get Fallout 3 for Christmas and will last you a long time for when your friends aren't over.

Get Fallout 3, and there is no way you could beat it 100% in less then 50 hours.

Left 4 dead doesnt seem like its going to be the most engaging shooter. I say Fallout 3. You played them all so you might as well not make yourself wait any longer. I dont know what the problem was with oblivion, I felt like there was freedom and if you wanted you could have beat the campaign in an hour. Fallout 3 is pretty much guaranteed epic. I would wait for l4d to get cheaper.

Left 4 Dead. 4 player-co op zombie game... hello?

L4D is the game everyone of us dreamed of, when RE 0 turned out to not be co-op...

Left 4 Dead is GOTY material. However if you want to buy overrated Thrash get Fallout by all means.

Just wait for the demo, you'll see.
