So, who here will actually be getting Project Natal, or "Kinect"?

The price tag is set (Unofficially) at $150 for preorder at gamestop

I think this would be a tax return item for me.

What about all of you? Why do you want it/Not want it?

I want it just for easier navigation though the menus, and for the fact that it has very high potential.

it is sort of somewhere in between for me. all those menu options look really good but the games they announced so far are gay but it has great potential if good games are released

I like the technology, I like the new ways of interacting with menus, I love the voice recognition...

but for the games... the area where it actually matters! It looks complete rubbish!

How about neither? I'll wait and see how the games are. I'm not even going to judge it based on it's launch line up. It took a while for the 360 itself to get a collection of great games, after all.

The technology is revolutionary, I think its features are pure awesome. However, apart from Fable and Forza, the current games suck! And I'm not getting it because I like my controller :p

the technology is cool.. but for gaming it's a nay on my behalf. I'd rather have a controller in my hand while sitting in my sofa with my mouth wide open.

I am glad i actually got to see what the big deal was yesterday. I have been hearing about project Natal for a long time but i was not even remotely interested in it. After all the games i saw yesterday (and features as well) i could say that i am not impressed with this new Kinect thing. The games are lame (too kiddy) and it seems i can manually navigate through the XBOX faster with a controller rather than my hands... I do not know it seems completely useless to me...so i will not be getting it.

I like the idea, and would be very interested in the setup, but there is no way I'm paying $150 for it.

I think the $150 price point will be a killer for Kinect. Basically MS is going after casuals with Kinect, but who is going to buy a $300 new Xbox 360 plus another $150 for Kinect? Even if you can still buy a $150 Arcade by the time Kinect comes out that's still $300 for something you can basically do on a $200 Wii. MS needs to get the price under $100 if they want to be competitive.

For me it's nay for now - maybe if they come out with an awesome game (the Star Wars game if it's good) I'll decide I have to get it.

The tech itself is cool, but the games all look like Wii games. Microsoft should use Kinect more like Move and have they MS equivalent of SOCOM and some more non-child oriented games. I understand having some family games, but don't make that your entire line-up.

It has potential, but from what they showed at their conference it looks like they just plan on copying Nintendo.

Pretty much everyone is saying it, the technology and capability of the device is beautiful, but all the games out out are far from what true gamers want. Anyone else want to see a shooter with "Gamer" (the movie) style controls? I thought it was really cool how they didn't have a controler and Simon's hands were the different actions.

For now, Nay. The technology might lead to something more appealing, but right now nothing being released for it looks very good. The demos presented mostly looked like the same sort of things you can play on the Wii already. Some of the hands off capabilities did look kind of neat, though. Like being able to control your media player with gestures and voice commands. But that gimmick isn't enough to get me to purchase one.

For right now, this makes me want to consider a Wii more than a Kinect. Nintendo's already been working on their motion controls for a few years now, and there are other non-party games or fitness games available for it.

i probs will get it, not really seen the games ur on about but i can imagine what they are like, but i get all my games for nothing so wont bother me too much id like to see it used with our normal games so you still play with a pad but the tech watches you and the cameras are used to add new aspects to the games like you could play fight night, have the option to box with no controller, or if people like the old pad then you still allow people to play with all the present controls, but the camera watches you and if you want to move your upper torso or head to dodge a punch you can. stuff like my second idea would be good

I'm still on board for the device, but the games were going to determine if I purchased one or not. Nothing interests me at the time.

Nay - because it doesn't impress me in the slightest. The games showcased to be availible for it look like ****- and I have no intention of supporting what is clearly a "me too" marketing gimmick that targets casual gamers.

I have nothing agaist motion controls - but I think taking the controller out of the equation is bull**** and a step backwards for gaming in general.

I'm usually pretty open-minded and dont like to immediately shoot down new ideas, but I have to say, I'm 0% convinced by 'Kinect'. There's very few genres of gaming that I can see this working well with. At least this primitive in motion-control development. Over time, motion control development and 3D technology development will combine to advance gaming further towards 'virtual reality'. But perhaps Microsoft is trying to jump the gun here.

Nintendo is doing it right by combining their innovative controls with big-name franchises that gamers love, and then *delivering* on the potential of the new technology. Its probably not so easy to do, and I've yet to see anything that gets meremotely excited about Microsoft's motion control design. We'll see, but right now, I'd rather spend that $150 towards a 3DS or PS3.

Some people have said here that it's great for scrolling trough menus and so that you can easily do with a controller. What's the idea in buying Kinect for 150$ if you're just too lazy to use a controller? The launch games look crap. I just can't see this beating the PlayStation 3's Move. It's just too expensive... Maybe if it would get some great games but unless that happens it's going to fail and terribly.

Tech is amazing but the games will make you look 1.retarded 2.Spazzing out 3.allow people to believe your mentally challenged. If they had a shooter game it still will make you look retarted.I believe that you would have to say "pow pow" every time to shoot. And how are you suppose to move forward? run in place ?what about cover? Question but only time will tell.

OMG Kevin Butler was at E3!!!?!?!?!?!?
