Is RE5 classified as a 'shooter' ??

I dont think it is, as like in RE4 the only guy who does the shooting is your charachter 'Leon'. Most of the bad guys come close to grab you or melee. They dont 'shoot' you.

Is this REALLY a necessary topic?

But if you must know, I'd classify RE4 as a Shooter/Horror.
