They did, so there is a chance of them adding it on. I really could care less, I never bought the hd dvd player before it was discontinued either.

Yes, I know that. But, You'd really think it'd be a good Idea changing the 360 after the release of the other consoles?

Look at how much the Hd dvd Player was, Blu-Ray would be twice as much as an add on.

oh im not saying that it would be a good idea for microsoft to make the switch now...far to late for that.

You do realize they have no power over this right when DVD's first came did that mean other company's couldn't make DVD's, no it did not so we can use their blu ray whether they like it or not and microsoft could easily buy them off i mean it's microsoft :D .

its def too late for that fact is 360 was never in a good position to receive blu ray MS knew that HDDVD was a longshot and no way they were supporting blu ray out the gate like that. They had to see if HD DVD could take it out and it didnt.

Going with dvd was the best move they could make and people arent going to like that but it was now that its official of course the next one will have a blu ray drive but expect MS to try have a big hand in the next format wars they dont like not having the upper hand.
