Is EB Games making me wait even longer for Forza 2

I just went to EB Games today and pre-orded Forza 2 and i asked the guy "All I have to do is bring in this receipt on the 29th and I'll get the game?" He said "No the 29th is the shipping date, and the game doesn't come out until the 30th." So are they making me wait an extra day to buy Forza even if they have the game or is Forza really not offically released until the 30th?

This is the first game that I have pre-ordered since Halo 2 and i got that the day of release.

the shipping date is the same for every store. where have you been in the past forever? they ship the game on shipping dates and you buy the game on street dates.

every release date you see on gaming sites are ship dates.
