Is Call Of Duty World at War, CoD5?

No, these are 2 totally different games! Call of duty World at war does not have the number 5 in the name thus it is not cod5. Some people may think that since it came after cod4 it must be called cod5, WRONG! In between the first call of duty and cod waw there has been more than 5 games out for the series thus once again showing proof that cod waw is not cod5.

Please post what you guys think about this.

I agree with RebornInFlames, it might not be called COD 5, but considering it came out after 4 and 6 is coming out later this year (hopefully-can't wait) I think it doesnt matter, besides all my friends call it call of duty 5

Technically it's not Call of Duty 5 it's Call of Duty: World at War but everyone calls it CoD5.

Just because it comes after the 4th one, people think that it's CoD5.

They haven't made a CoD5 but when they do, THAT will be CoD5 not World at War.

Well I'm sure people will call MW:2 the 6th CoD and no one will complain, its just because the people that hate WaW are trying to find a reason to seperate it from CoD4 MW.

It's CoD 5 in the sense that it's the fifth major release in the Call of Duty series. But as for people calling CoD:WaW "CoD 5" just because it came out after CoD 4: yeah I suppose they're somewhat wrong for doing that. But I don't really care.atm0073

Yes, it can be called CoD5 because it is the 5th game in the main series. Activision just decided to drop the numbering scheme in the game titles now because by 2013 everyone will notice how badly they are milking the **** out of the franchise every year when CoD10 comes out.
