Your going to have to be more specific... 1. Is the problem new? Intermittent or constant? 2. Is the system updated to the latest firmware? 3. Any case mods that may have messed up the internals?

I had this problem on my original console (360 owner since Jan. 2006) and it ended up that the Disc Drive went bad. It eventually got to the point where it wouldn't even spin up when a disc was put in.

If this happens all the time, either send it to MS to get fixed, or hopefully better yet, you have an in-store warranty and can return it there (should they determine it's screwed)

the problem is constant, it doesnt want to read any discs, it also sounds wierd as hell every time its trying to read a disc, and if it actually reads the disc it freezes after 5 minutes of play and a blu screen pops up saying that the disc is unreadable

Make sure your 360 is horizontal instead of vertical.

You might want to try and clean the lens buy blowing dust out of it, otherwise it is probably a bad drive, just call Microsoft and since your under warranty it will be free to fix.

You could try getting a can of compressed air (the ones you use for blowing dust out of computer parts) and giving it a quick pass. But the way your describing it.. the last few posters are right, the problem seems to be a bad optical drive, if your still under waranty, by all means send it in.
