I heard it actually heats up the 360 and you shouldn't use it, but talk is cheap.

This is better than the Nyko Intercooler cuz it uses its own power supply.

well idk if it heats up the console, but i do know that if anything happens to your 360 and they find that you used an intercooler than they wont replace it under the free warrenty....hence why microsoft doesnt have their version of the intercooler (because it's pointless!)

This thread is about the Intec Aircooler NOT the Nyko Intercooler.

REMEMBER to turn on the Aircooler when you turn on your XB360 or otherwise it blocks the console's own ventilation.

Most fans will often make your 360 even hotter, here are a few to avoid. One just makes your 360 hotter, other one doesn't really work and isn't compatable with new 360's.

Stay away from those, I have yet to find any that even work well.

I put my X-box 360 on top of an Antec Laptop cooler horizontally. The rubber feet underneath the 360 aren't long enough to get a lot of airflow (and thus cooling) underneath the console normally if you lay it down flat horizontally, so when I put it on top of the much longer rubber supports on the Antec cooler, the console gets much more airflow and stays cooler, even when I don't plug the laptop cooler in.

It's worked for me really well so far.

I bought an Intel air cooler this weekend and was abit skeptical how well it would work. To my sknowledge it seems to be keeping my xbox 360 cooler than before and is preventing my xbox 360 fromoverheating. I Would find my previous system before the RROD hit, the left side of my 360 while standing vertical always heated up. Now usig the Intel cooler keeps my newier 360 temperature down. I would recommend an air cooler but keep in mind to always give it at least a 20-30 minute break every couple of hours during play.

well...u shouldnt be tht scared of your x-box overheating unless u play for a whole day straight or keep the x-box on all the time..

i find tht using a normal household fan in pretty effective at times...

dont add anything onto your 360 like that. it just blows room temperature air back at the hot air trying to come out the back.
