Just got Mehrunes Razor (with the extra dungeon you can buy on XBL), nice dagger, good damage, not too heavy. One of the best so far, I hope there will be something better later on...
My favorites are Umbra and Goldbrand. Both are from Daedric quests, but you can get Umbra without starting the quest. It's in the ruin that starts with a "V", just southeast of the waterfront district.
When I was playing I had 2 daedric longswords (fire and thunder; and ice for Oblivion gates). Plus, they had some attack and defense upgrades that made them pretty kickass.
Spells. I can kill anything without lifting a finger.  My character can go to Imerial city and fight for hours killing unlimited guards without every using a weapon. (Except maybe a shield)
I just remembered that I never did the last Daedric quest. A messanger came and got me during the Razor quest. I was sleeping near one of the shacks. I have to capture souls from every species now.
I have both the Umbra and the Goldbrand. The Goldbrand looks better but I think the Umbra is stronger.
