So I sent off my 360 16 days ago to get it repaired, and when I got home yesterday I found a package on the floor... I thought woo, I got my 360 back, so after I hooked it up, I started to play halo 3 with my my friend and as luck would strike me again, my 360 went all screwy... I had some weird graffics glitches, so I restarted my 360, and they wouldn't go away after dozens to restarts... then... I get 3 rings of red light (top and bottem left rings, right bottom ring) and I called the 1-800- xbox number to ask what the hell was going on...

So now, I have to wait another damn month, to get a working 360... and its funny because my old 360 that needed repairing worked better than the new one... all it was doing was scratching discs and not ejecting the dvd...

my next 360 better work, has anybody else recieve a non working 360 after sending your old one off?

A friend of mine had his 360 sent in for repairs and it came back working fine. Hopefully round 2 will work out better for you.

I hope so, I may just trade in my 360 for an elite (if I can do that) how is the 360 elite? is it any better in terms of reliability?

Yeah from what I've heard, the Elites are even worse with that kind of stuff.

I have disk scratching problems and dvd ejection problems as well. Is that covered by the warranty? If there is no disk in my tray, the tray won't eject unless I push a pin to move the gears to help it. It's great.

I actually had my first 360 (I picked it up launch day) last a year and a half and then it crapped out. So I sent mine in and got a new one in about a week and a half. I was pumped about it but it crapped out a couple days later... then I got another one and I actually didn't play it for a couple weeks because I was using my dad's. So when I finally played it it crapped out right away... Needless to say I was a little upset but my new 360 has been working fine and if it happens again I'll just get a new system instead of a refurb because that's what my buddy just got because of the amount of times his had crapped out. The new systems have been much better too from what I've heard.

The elites are not worse, but they're not that much better.

I'm on my 6th console.

Microsoft is doing a fantastic job! :)

Every time I call I get Habeeb who doesn't understand a word I'm saying...

After about 40 minutes and yelling I finally get a confirmation # and a box a week later.

3 -4 weeks later I have my console...

I'm not mad. I have better things to worry about. :P
