My friends bumped it while playing guitar hero and i got the three rings and so i thought I was screwed. Latter i decided to try it one last time and it worked! Does this happen often or am I just lucky?
Well, my box has survived a daily one red light, and once it had all four. Its still goin' strong. Still, once the RRoD appears, the virtual vultures begin to circle.
3RL does not always mean instant death. I got 3RLs two consecutive times (due to some faulty 3rd party cooling fans) and after I removed it, my 360 is working fine.
umm its not that special i have had it and my 360 works also to the guy who thinks he is special because once his had 4 lights and it still works your not if it has 4 lights that means you didn't plug the cables in correctly.
Mine happened twice. The first one was after an hour long xbox live session, so I turned it off for a couple hours then tried it again, it worked perfectly. Then the other day it flashed 4 times, so I checked the manual and it said "check AV cable". So I took a look and realised that the AV cable came unplugged. Mine works perfectly, the red ring of death is overrated
Is there a specific reason for why people get this?? Overheating? I got my xbox for christmas and just wondering if anyone knows of ways i can prevent...or at least postpone this happening.
Yeah i have 3red rings too, i leave it off for a while and it works..then i tturn it off...back on..and red lights again..im waiting till nxt week to ring up MS though because of the holidays.
