Why? You lost everything you worked to get. Prestiging in CoD is extremely pointless!

I used to have such a narrow-minded view about prestiging in CoD as well. That was until I came to the realization of just how silly it is to believe that you've actually 'worked hard.' Granted unlocking new weapons/attachments and kill streaks does require time and can seem tedious, however, it does not in any way imply difficulty in achieving such things.
On the contrary, playing with every weapon/attachment and kill streak available for a length of time makes for a thoroughly bleak game imho. Not having the best available weapon or attachment for a weapon makes for a more challenging experience.
If they want Prestige to mean something in CoD, they should make it so that only after each prestige do you get certain weapons, attachments and/or perks. Then and only then will it be worth anyones time. Imagine that it took until 2nd Prestige to attain the Commando. or how about only after prestiging can you equip 2 attachments. Things like that give players incentive and show that you put your time in for something other than a dumb emblem!!
