Ok so i was playing call of duty world at war and i talked to some guys... nothing special. I went to sleep and when i woke up i checked my email and it had 5! emails all from microsoft telling me i had bought 5000 microsoft points in total with my linked credit card. So i decided to sign into xbox live and it wouldnt let me.When i tried to recover my profile it said that my profile did not exist anymore. I tried to sign into xbox.com and it let me but my name was different. the hacker didnt change the password. WILL I GET A REFUND????!!!?!!?!?!?(from microsoft or the credit card company?)

First off change your password on Xbox.com, second remove your credit card details from the account, thirdly cancel the credit card that was used (they most likely have your card details now)...and the obvious one, call Xbox.

Microsift first, forums last. But anyway until you get this problem resolved shut down your credit card if at all possible.

Here's the easy way to fix this, don't be dumb and hand out your account info.

This couldnt have happened unless you gave out your info. So you clearly let something slip. Plus, you should have probably called MS first instead of wasting time on these forums. But thats common sense. So there are two explanations: 1.You have no common sense. 2.You didnt get hacked. Both are pretty bad...

I don't know why everyone is saying call Microsoft first. I would say call your credit card company first. If it is a debit card, then that is a lot riskier, but if you inform your bank within 48 hours i believe then you are only liable for $50. If it was just a credit card, which I suggest using in the future, then most card companies will just cancel the purchase and issue you a new card number.

Once, I had a $850 charge for some college I never went to on my credit card. I called up my credit card company and they instantly cancelled the purchase and issued me a new card number. I haven't had a problem since.

Something similar happened to me, but I got mine back luckly. I'd suggest following the steps on this link:

One thing I'd advise is to act quick. The quicker you act, the better.

I dont believe you. Common sense tells you to call Microsoft and its pretty clear that even if this is true you just blabbed account info to people.

there is no way he could get hacked by some stupid ass. if he really got hacked then that hacker must be experienced and mayb e u must have told him that u spend a lot of ms points on your account so maybe he hacked ur profile for buying ms points
