i hooked up my ipod to my 360,but it wont let me listen to my music from my ipod

i hooked up my ipod thru the front usb port,but when i go to the music thing,it doesnt show up.help?

Probably something involving the codes imbedded on the touches or what not.

I do recall my old ipod working on 360, I think it's just for touches like Kringer said.

so your saying everyone with an ipod or any other music device should buy a zune just because its compatible with the 360...:roll:

there is an optional patch you just have to download from the marketplace. its free too, i'm just not sure on how to find it.

and get off your zune bull****. i have a mac that i sync my ipod to that i plug in the 360 and it works fine.

@chaoscougar thats not what I'm sayin, I'm trying to tell the person who make the thread, that IF he's going to connect a device, he shouldn't have to download something else just to use it, and that if he connects a MP3 to they're xbox that often, get a zune. I like the iPod, don't get me wrong, but if your that worried about listening to music while you play a game, then just plug it in to a iPod docking station, it's that simple.

If you have music on there from iTunes it won't let you play them because theyre protected or something

I'm assuming that your pc is on the same network as your 360, so why not just stream music from your pc? You can do it through windows media or the zune software, just change the music sharing options.
