Ebay for around $60. I am certain you can check Amazon and Craigslist as well.

The ethernet cable works fine and is much cheaper. The wireless adaptor is expensive and unnecessary

I just renewed my subscription online and they're still running the upgrade from silver (free) to gold for only $39.99 which is not very much.

Yes. I find it strange that you cannot connect with an Ethernet cable. Even if your router is wireless, there is generally ports for wired connections. I would try to save the money and just connect with an ethernet cable.

Actually there's a good reason wireless adaptors are fairly expensive for the 360. With a wireless adaptor you have a fairly high rate of packet loss, and since more, and more games are using UDP instead of TCP packet loss causes more serious issues w/ gameplay. If more players have easy access to wireless gaming on XBL the quality of matches would suffer.

If you search hard you can find original xbox wireless adaptors for pretty cheap, and they work on the 360s, but I really don't recomend gaming on a wireless connection unless you have to.

I have to agree with Cardiackid07, he sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

Oh man that makes me want to replug my 360 to wireless.... I mean seeing how it doesn't mess up gameplay as much must be wonderful... Well i guess getting d/c almost every other game (Gears of War 1) didn't affect gameplay at all because.... well.... it never happened. I left Wireless gaming back then and haven't looked back since. Ethernet is cheaper by far and i would go that way. I mean I had wireless and the connection dropped in a wide open room (my 360 is around a corner, but not through a wall...) so the fact that it d/c all the time even though it wasn't far away kind of pissed me off.

Strange, but if you go on Ebay like someone said, you can generally find one for cheaper than what you would pay.

If you have a laptop, plug your Ethernet cord into it and bridge the connection.

I think it is worth it for LIVE. It is the funnest gaming expierience i have ever/am having in my life. I had to pay just under 100 dollars to get set up for LIVE and have never once regretted it. I love it.

I just actually read your post. You should just buy a 50.00 dollar 13 month LIVE card. when i paid 100 dollars to set up thatincluded the 50 buck LIVE card, a router and a 100 foot ethernet cable.
