Ok, yesterday I was playing my 360, and it was working PERFECTLY, not one problem.. now a day later I turn it on and the Three Red Rings go up... I went Beserk!! I didn't know what to doo! Can somebody help!! What does 3 Red Rings actully mean? I know liek some mean internal problem, and some mean a cord is unplugged but what does 3 mean?
The customer service is actually quite good, and the turn around on fixing your console isnt too long as long as you weren't planning on playing ninja gaiden 2 on day 1
id recheck your cables. if you have a cooler on the back take it off. you could use the towel trick but it doesn't fix it for that long. id send it into MC if it really has RROD cause they will fix it the best.
on xbox.com they have alot of other ways to check for problems that cause RROD that can be fixed at home.

Call 1-800-4MYXBOX and get ready to give them your serial number. Your Xbox 360 will be out of commision for a good 3 weeks depending on how stupid the customer service is (no offense but I have had the worst experience with these guys).
If you got your 360 within the past year it will be free. If not it will be about $100.

1 red light - Hard drive error 2 red lights - Overheating 3 red lights - 'General Hardware fault' - this is what most people experience and usually means it has to be shipped off to MS because something has gone wrong inside the console. 4 red lights - AV cable unplugged.
Logged onto the Xbox.com site reported the problem. They overnighted a box to me and i had it on the 20th - Tuesday morning. I shipped it to them the same day. They received it Friday May 23rd. Repaired it the same day. Shipped it Tuesday May 27th (Monday was memorial day) I got it yesterday. So all in all... 8 business days or 11 actual days. not bad. I'm happy with them...
