This is important, as my family travels a lot. We've tried every adaptor out there, and it won't work! How could I get this to work?

It trips this sensor on the adaptor and makes a loud beep. Also, I use a 400-watt(volt?) convertor, which is the highest I could find and seems like plenty.

Even if you do find enough power some way some how, dont do it. I had a disc get completely ruined by scratches after barely bumping it when it was sitting on the floor stationary. I cant imagine what would happen to them in a car after just a few small bumps. Play a gamecube, ps2 or xbox if you really want a console in the car. (thats what we do for trips)

The 360 pulls a lot of wattage (175W even with the new falcons) which is usually too much for both a car battery and especially for the adapters they sell.

Yeah, you need a TON of power for that thing. I ran my Wii in the car but when I tried the 360, my converter would turn itself off. My bro even used a bigger one and it would work for 15 mins and then turn off. So, basically, you have to have a converter that is BEEFY.

It is probably not getting the proper amperage to make it run. You may need a converter.

best solution- put the 360 in a non-moving situation and buy a portable system. ur predicament was solved way back wen they released the 1st gameboy. portables may be small( hence the name) but they provide some respectable games.

I'll have to try that. I have my PS2 Slim in my truck hooked up to my AV HU and that works fine. But of course that is a lower amperage. My inverter is rated at 400w. I'll check it out tomorrow.
