I went to my local gamestop today and traded in all of my old xbox games, about 35. and all of my xbox controllers, and i got 300 dollars plus gta paid off in full. how sweet is that!

Ouch.. only $73 for 26 games? And it was 2 years ago? What a terrible trade in.. to say the least. Well, comparing your deal to the TC, he had a much better deal hands down. Remember, that $1800 estimation that other poster said, is probably based on brand new games. Used games have a totally different value, much lower in our case.
Took them to Gamestop after the auction ended just so I could laugh in their faces. Sure enough, I did. They offered me $37. You should have seen their faces when I said I could get 4 times that much on ebay, they just said "Go ahead and try, you'll be lucky to get $20 for them on ebay" and then I said, "I actually already sold them and just wanted to see what you guys thought they would be worth. I got $147 for all of them" then the employee didn't know what else to say, made this face that looked dumbfounded, and then just shrugged and I just walked out.
It's always painful comparing what you paid new for a game to its trade-in value a few years later, but I guess something is better than nothing if you don't play it anymore.
I wonder if you would get more selling the whole lot with console at an online auction site?

Do it on ebay i'm thinking about selling my xbox on there. I wonder what 45 games and two controllers is worth on ebay. But then again it would be pretty cool to go back and play my older games. It's hard to decide..lol.

Yes, you are correct. I originally looked to see how much each individual game I was selling was going for and most of them individually didn't even have anyone bidding on them. So I decided to make it an auction on ebay for the lot of 20 games. Like I said, sold them for $147.
I took a collection of 5 of the more current PS2 games in a few months ago when they had the extra 30% credit for 5 games deal and got about $45 for them all.
