60 hours if you do everything (most people do everything, its funner)

20-30 hours if you just play through it.

I can't tell you how long it is yet but I am 20 hours in and nearly finished the main quests. Still have many side-quests to do.

But what I can tell you is that it's worth the money.

Took me about 28 hours do to all the main missions and loyalty missions. Definitely worth a 2nd playthrough and easily worth the $60 price tag.

...I JUST started to play it and after 3 hours, i am sure i have another 3 hours before i am 6 hours into the game. But theres a long way to go. (Joking aside: its a big game and alot of people will play it more than once with different classes, decisions...so there is potential for 30 or more hours. For some players it will be more like 80-100 if they play it again. I will probably only play once but...so far its worth every penny).

I'm about 8 hours in, I only just finished up the stuff on Omega Station, and 1 loyalty mission.

granted, I did a lot of wandering the SR-2's hallways. every good captain gets to know his ship... and I've been doing a lot of resource mining.

In ME1, I had it off. It was pretty annoying. But ME2 I didn't notice it, I just left it on.

I have film grain off - I think it looks better that way. Definitely worth the price tag - there's so much that happens, especially if you imported a character, that if you play in long stretches it's almost too much to take in all at once. I've gone back to previous saves to replay missions etc already in this first run through and I already know I think I'm going to enjoy it even more on a second run through. Playing with different classes and squad members too adds a lot of different fun things to try.

Film grain off. I think cut scenes look better with it on, but during gameplay it makes things in the distance look crap. Though I changed some setting on my TV, so I have to try it on again.

I am 36 hours into it and not done yet. I am hunting down EVERY side quest. Alot of side missions open up as you finish main missions and character missions.
Theres alot to do if you hunt them down.

This is the best singleplayer game this gen imo.

So you guys are saying it's a long game? That's refreshing. I'm almost done with the first ME and I've only played it for about 12 hours... I might buy it, so this game BETTER be LONGGGGG.

Only $60?? Here in Norway it costs around $100!!

But to answer your question: YES, IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY. I've played for about 20 hours, and I think I still have a pretty long way to go before I'm finished. I want to do every sidequest, and I visit all unexplored planets. I have a lot of main missions left. LOVE LOVE LOVE the game.

I'd say 35 hours max to get through everything the game has to offer, including side quests. But it's worth a second playthrough (Paragon if you went Renegade, or vice versa), and playing on Insanity definitely takes more time due to frequent dying in a few really difficult sections.

Mixture of many things.. some people read all the codex logs, talk to every npc, explore areas even when there is nothing there, leave their system on while they go do something like eat, mine every planet etc. Also on the opposite end some people read 0 codex logs, explore nothing, talk to few people, skip through conversations etc..

I did it in 28 hours and was fairly thorough finishing every mission and assignment (although I'm sure I missed the odd planet anomaly assignment).

Not really suprising if you used a guide, kinda streamlines the whole discovery part of it: one guy might take 15 minutes to find out how to get into the VIP section on Omega while someone with the guide can blow through it in 5 minutes because he already knows what to do.

On my first playthrough, I put it on the easiest difficulty setting, I did all the missions, loyalty missions and side quests except one because it was glitched, discovered every planet in the universe 100%, upgraded my ship, armor and weapons to the fullest, survived the suicide mission with eveyone alive, took me 40+ hours. I got all the Achievements except like 4 left.

Then on my second playthrough, I wanted to do it as a speed run and get the rest of the Achievements. I had on the hardest difficulty, I didn't do any side missions, I only did like 3 loyalty missions, I didn't upgrade my ship at all, I upgraded my armor and weapon not all the way but good enough, and only like 3 squad members survived the suicide mission because I picked the wrong people to do the wrong things and I didn't do their loyalty missions, that took me like 20+ hours. Got all the Achievements after that.

i didnt use a guide of any sorts. i used one to cross refrence my side quests to see if i had done them all.

I'm well over 20 hours right now and I've finished up all the loyalty quests and don't a good amount of sidequests. I have no idea where I'm at in the main story though. I'll probably get at least another good 10 hours out of it though.

Ill put it this way, if one of the possible endings happen (youll most likely get this one) you can.
