Hi there. In several game specific forums I see people mention that you can mute the headset whenever you get a really annoying person on it. How do you do this? My headset has a switch, but all it does is turn off my mic, I still hear everything.

Can anyone help me out?

You can turn the mic down but then you can't hear anyone. The way to do it is find out who is creating the disturbance. Find their gamertag and go to their profile, simply choose Mute and you're good. You can experiment with names and see when the chatter stops to know who it is. Wait about 5 seconds after choosing mute to make sure it was turned on too. In some games like Call of Duty it is even easier.

Most worthwhile developers will also have an in-game muting option. You can also try looking for these rather than setting a blanket muting.

Sometimes, more than one person share the same account, and these different persons may have different personalities and preferences for games.

But who's gonna be concerned if they're sharing accounts or not? lol..he should just mute em because odds are the person is the account owner.
