I may be wrong on this one, but isn't piracy illegal in the United States?Drakebunnyindeed it is but seriously to the op, just let him do it if he wants to. he faces the risks and consequences if he chooses to pirate games and its his fault if something happens
Hey guys, I have a friend and for a while now he's been pirating XBOX / PS3 games. I want to stop him from doing this, but I have no idea how. I keep telling him that's it's bad, but he won't listen. So what can I do? Thanks. Gamerperson33
For PS3:

For Xbox:

What should you expect to have happen after you narc on your friend to either of these websites?
Absolutely nothing.
While piracy is illegal, large companies do not go after individuals who are not distributing their copyrighted material because it's not even remotely cost effective to do so. These report forms are for reporting companies that are using 100 seats of Win 7 without paying for it. Don't expect Microsoft or Sony to dispatch a team of crack investigators and copyright enforcement specialists to "Billy's house down the street cuz I saw him with a pirate copy of Madden".
I do not in any way advocate piracy, but ultimately what someone else does is their decision. They may or may not suffer consequences as a result of their choices in life but it's not your job to police the actions of others. If you'd like it to be, then I suggest you apply for a job in law enforcement when you're old enough.

and that attitude is one of the things wrong with modern society, the people who turn in those who commit crimes (though this is admitidly minor) are alienated which gives criminals a cover ... less people would commit crime if more people had the back bone to report itWhat is he like jacking your games & making copies of them? Not sure why else you would care so much about his actions. I agree it is wrong, however always know everyone hates a snitch.

If I knew I had a friend whom might of copied several games I wouldn't not be in your shoes acting like some kinda hero on the phone turning him in.What is he like jacking your games & making copies of them? I know, frankly its so minor it barely pings on the radar, I was just felt like highlighting its a problem with society at largeWhat is he like jacking your games & making copies of them?
