hdmi supports up to 1080p but also supports 720i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p.  so whatever your tv can handle the hdmi can output.

when I hook up my normal 360 to my 1080p tv, there's an option in the menu to put the res on 1080p. I don't really get what HDMI does, I thought it allows 1080p support, but I already have that so why should I get it.

because you still need the the proper cables and adapters to do it. just cause you have the option to do it, doesnt mean it will work right.

my car says i can go 260 kph, but it stops at 175....governed.....
