Well actually I had just played half life 2 that same day, so I don't think so.killerneubGames don't kill xbox's and they have been known to suddenly Red Ring on people. I'm currently on my 4th xbox, and yes it died every time whilst playing a game but that doesn't mean its the games fault.
Your Xbox 360 died because it was going to die not because of the game. Plenty of people were playing games when their Xbox 360 died it doesn't mean that it is the games fault.

i beg to differ, i think me playing mass effect 2 non-stop killed mine, stone cold dead because it hasn't worked since march
ya except after i restarted it the first time the game showed a weird halo screen that was really dark and fuzzy and wouldn't let me do anything, i'm just saying it's possible, you don't have to disagree with me because you don't even know "exactly" what causes the red ring of death.Same exact thing happened to me not too long ago whilst playing Gears of War 2.
Screen went green, so I restarted the Xbox, at which point I got the red rings.

It wasn't Reach that broke the Xbox. Today was just your lucky day. They all red ring eventually.
That sucks man. especially when it happens when you've just bought a game you've been looking forward to for ages
Buy a new slim not suppose to rrod..Well ive not heard of any that have up till this point..Its a really nice system..Looks better than the old one also..
So I got reach today in the mail and started to play, everything was fine until the first cut scene was playing and my screen went green. Then I restarted my Xbox and the screen was black with weird lines through it. Then I restarted again and I had the Red Ring of Death; how the heck did this happen. worse day ever, thanks Halo Reach for killing my xbox that is passed its warranty.killerneub
it sounds like your video card on the xbox broke. Hey look on the bright side you can now get the new xbox 360 s.

The Red Ring is caused by a hardware failure.
Halo didn't kill your xbox! If your xbox 360 failed, it's because it was going to happen sooner or later. Games can't kill your 360.racing1750
I'm not sure about that, my 360 would always sound very bad whenever I played Need for Speed (forgot which one). Then I installed it and it sounded fine after that.
