Isn't it funny how you either play one or the other and that there's almost a rivalry between players of each of the series'? Haha just a funny observation. What do you think?
For me Halo 3 gets the bump since i can actually see who I'm playing as, no offense to Cod4, plus there's the whole armor customization part. But Cod4 was stilla great game.

i also really like the way you rank up in halo 3 and the double exp weekends are fun. not to mention the theater and forge. yeah. great game haha.
Well i play Call of Duty 4 but well its kinda sad, i would like to play Halo 3 since i liked Halo 1 and 2 but all those fan boys really annoy me and make me not want to play it, some day i might though...
It is funny that a lot of people are bashing on one game or the other but when you look at their gamertag they are both on there, sometimes thay are next to eachoth as the most recent games that they played. I haven't played COD4 but am going to be getting it soon.
gta IV was okay but it felt the same. Don't get me wrong they put alot of detail into it but the gameplay was just the same to me. You pretty much do the same missions but one improvement i like is the shooting system. Not the best but it will do.
Honestly im a COD4 person. I played Halo 3 when it came out, and it was fun for a while. then the hardcore fanboys came out. So i rarely play Halo 3 on xbox live anymore. With cod4, if a player annoys me i just do a simple click of the button and hes gone. Plus im a much better sniper in cod4 anyways :) and a 36-2 shows me im better on cod4.
it is funny, me personally i enjoy playing halo 3 basically because i find it more sociable than COD 4, but they are both top notch games and i just wish people will just accept that.
I'm in the CoD 4 camp but I have tiring of it as of late. I'll prolly get back into it later. Only Halo I've ever played was up to the 5th level in the first one.

Unless you actually play a game by yourself for a good amount of time you probably will hate it. You guys were probably doing the most boring thing in the world (rumble pit) for like 5 minutes and you were like "Uhhhhh lets go play cock of doody fore!"
Call of Duty always had good storylines that felt very real. as in Halo 1,2 and 3 it more of a epic sci-fi type thing which I liked the stories of both games. The multiplayer to me goes to call of duty 4 with Halo a close 2nd, mainly cause some of the tech issues with Halo 3 and forge.
It's the same way with Gears and Rainbow Six Vegas. BTW I own all 4 games Vegas 1 and 2, Gears, Halo 3, 2, 1 and Call of Duty 4. Each game has its strong suits and weak points. Even the almighty GTA IV has its issue. The only way a game could be released and called perfect is if you had a dev team of about 400-500 people and they work on that game for 8-10 years without any major changes to the game they started. That way they could fine tune everything.
I'm personally a Call of Duty 4 fan, I'm obssessed with being realistic. I just don't like the fact I need to empty most of my clip, THEN beat someone down. And 4 shots to the head isn't necessary to kill them. Don't go saying I'm a Halo noob, because I've played both. I've kept both for the sake of my friends.
I don't know about you guys, but I actually liked the characters in Call of Duty 4, they were awesome, and the story is better in my opinon. If you're going to say it's a 3-4 hour game, you obviously haven't played veteran.

I played Halo 3 almost every day after it came out, I only stopped once I bought CoD4 in December. I honestly have not played one second of Halo since, not that I hate it because I don't, I'd just rather play CoD4. Mainly b/c matchmaking isn't complete crap, and there's less little kids yelling into the mic incessantly.
single COd4 wins hands down...... Multiplayer to me its a bit of a tie i love both, but i find halo3 more fun for long periods of time.... but thats becuase i play halo 3 with my house mates online so its more appealing.
Yea... it is. :) I'm a fan of both games and I find it ridiculous that they argue. It's still not as bad as PS3 vs. Xbox 360. I can't play my PS3 without people asking to play COD4 with me and I tell them I only have it for 360, they freak out and start yelling about how horrible the 360 is. Then when I get off of Xbox Live my friends tell me that the PS3 is gay and that I should retunr it.
Once again, I am a fan of both Sony and Microsoft. I love both of my systems the same. Xbox is better for online gaming, but the PS3 is better for playing by myself and it is coming out with friggin killer games. But then there is GEARS 2!!!! WOOT!!!

I dont see what's so funny about it... It's two very different games... I have both, but I don't really like halo3... not that its a bad game, I just prefer COD4 (im not really into all that sci-fi sh*t)
Never intend on doing, I love COD4, and have heard so much bad things about the halo community.
The non - gaming forum community, seems to think halo 3 is a kids game.

Well yea the Halo community is pretty bad..but its Good thing you can mute the other people!
It is not a kids game.. its just that alot of kids play halo because they think 'ITS THE COOLEST GAME EVER!!!!!'
And yea,all the immature players have kind of made the games MP a really bad experience for new-comers (via the trash talking and Tea-bagging).
So yes...I feel CoD4 players are much more mature than Halo3 players (although not for much longer...most of the kids are gonna jump on the CoD band waggon pretty soon)
