halo 3 unlock problem

halo 3 has an helmet where to unlock it you supposedly have to get 1000 gamerscore.

I have 1300, plus 165 points from halo I got after achieving 1000.

anyone know why?

i think you're confused. it means you have to get 1000/1000 in Halo 3, not your total gamerscore.

if that wasn't the case, most people would unlock that helmet before getting ANY achievements in Halo 3.

well i was confused because katana was unlock all achievements and the helmet was just 100 gamerscore, supposedly.
