Halo 3, Gears of War, which is better?

Having played the Halo 3 beta and Gears of War, which is better? I rarely played the Halo 3 Beta solely because of Gears. At least from the beta which is a pretty much near final representation of the halo 3 multiplayer, Gears is better. I wont play Halo 3 much besides campaign because of gears. Theres more purpose in Gears, not just run and shoot people.

My opinion: Halo 3 Beta is better than gears multiplayer hands down.

Hell, the beta has more game modes and variety than Gears' final version did.

Halo 3 isn't out yet, but anything's better than Gears of War multiplayer. That game has the most repetitive multiplayer I've ever played, and even with it being so simple there are still glitches and the host advantage is ridiculous. ag1002

Compared to all the other games where you run & gun all day long with no point other than racking up kills? Isn't that what repetitive is all about? Name an online game that isn't repetitive.

Halo has no purpose.....

Your trying to stop an alien race from activating a weapon that will erase all life in the universe.

If you think that isnt purpose enough then i severely hope your never put in a position to save any persons life.

Halo 3 is far better than gears of war, first the gameplay is much better, the weapons are much better the whole thing is better!

Gears of war is ok but it has far too many glitches i still prefer overall HALO 3

halo 3 hands down. but the blood effects in gears is cool. then again u cant have blood on master cheif's visor. the layers of blood would be so thick and crusty, it be like dipping your eyes in blue lead based paint.

Well i thinhk everyone will agree here when i say this.

Halo is a favourite becasue online when u get killed you respawn so the action just keeps going on, where as gear the action sop...then starts....then stops agin making it frustrating.
