2 red lights mean your console's overheated. Turn it off and unplug it.

Check out this link for diagnosis.

ive been thinking, what if you put a small bag of ice near the fans in the back to allow cooler air to go into 360. Would that work?

what is the so called "rings of death", like 3 or 4? Because my 360 had 3 red lights a few days ago, i turned it off, then turned it on again and it worked fine.

man, i hope the freezer comment was a joke.... when you take it out, what kind of condensation would be inside the system, that's what i'd like to know... as for the bag of ice, well, that's not the way to go. it would get cold air into the fans, but you run the risk of it melting near the system. you'd likely be better off using a freezer pack of some sort, but wrap it lightly in a cloth to make sure it doesn't "sweat".
