Hi,

I've purchased an Xbox 360 two days ago and I'm looking for some good split-screen coop games.

I don't have an Xbox Live subscription, so I'm not interested in online multiplayer.

I like MW2's split screen coop, for example. Is World at War's coop good as well?

Playing with people you actually know in the same room > Paying to play online with stupid 12-20 year old's.

Anyways, I recommend you MW2, any of the Halo games, Castle Crashers, Doom 1 and 2 and COD:WaW.

Ditto... All mentioned games are rather cheap now, but if your on a budget start with Gears. Best splitscreen experience this gen IMO...

World at War's co-op is actually much better. You can play through almost it's entire campaign in co-op and you have a Nazi Zombie survival mode as well. Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2 and Resident Evil 5 are all pretty good too.

Thanks for all the recommendations, folks. I'll watch some gameplay videos and then decide. So far, Conviction looks awesome and so does Gears of War.

^Pretty much this. And the best around IMO is Borderlands, army of two series, marvel ultimate alliance to avoid only shooters. There are a lot of arcade games as well.
