I heard from some guy that ALL 360's will break down sooner of later due to a major hardware malfunction in ALL 360's. Only after the falcon chips it will stop. Is that true?

The falcon chip is suppose to run cooler, is this gonna prevent the RROD? Who knows..Time will tell.

i bought a small desk fan and put it behind the 360 to cool it. I always have it on while i play and for a little while afterward to cool it off faster.

You really can't prevent it. Even if it anything happens to it, Mircosoft as already announced a 4 year long replacement plan. So just take it back to the consumer store you bought it from if it ever messes up. Just to be safe, buy the replacement plan from the store you bought it from

the 65nm is still gonna run just 30% less heat cause its 30% smaller, on hot days in some places of the world gamming in the summer its still is prob gonna happen (alot less though), there 45nm in 2009 should work for everybody and be a 2%-1% failure rate

You could do what I did: take it apart, clean the cheap gunk that passes for thermal compound off the CPU and GPU with alcohol or acetone and apply some of the good stuff like Arctic Silver. But that would void your 3 year warranty, and if you have no experience working with PC hardware, I wouldn't recommend it. I'm still on the same Xbox 360 I bought back in Feb 06 though if that tells you anything.
