Gears of War the movie !!!

Just about the news on a Gears of War movie not a rumour but its true! Are you looking forward to it or do you think it won't materialize?

Well I hope it's pretty good. Because that's the reason I like GoW, the story and characters.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ryan Reynolds as Baird, he would do really good.

Marcus Fenix = Kurt Russel.

director = Michael Bay.

it would be cool just depending on the actors and director, i would prefer ving rhames or however you spell it for cole, even though it won't match, i would choose him cause i just watched dawn of the dead, and kurt russell would be the man, and also the person who made this thread your avatar is annoying and distracting to me

im not sure if it was either a director/ script writer, but i know they already hired one of those.

I saw that in theatres wow did i hate it. So generic and boring. Sadly i see this for GOW. It might look cool but overall you'd rather be at home playing the game rather then watching the movie more than likely.

oh man, i just love Michael Bay's movie. they're the best.

Can't remember the directors name. But it's the guy who did Underworld.

And I think Timothy Olyphant (Hitman) would make a good Baird.

I think you're like the only other person besides me that would like Michael Bay to direct this film. He's great with the graphics and all that.

But I highly disagree with Kurt Russel as Marcus Fenix? Are you serious? lol... Not even close but good try. I dont know who comes to mind for that role but please, no Kurt Russel. He couldnt pull off a Marcus Fenix even if he tried.

Personally, I dont want to get my hopes up but rumors usually never materialize. At least, not into a decent movie. The day Gears of War The Movie comes out would be a joyous day but even that is wishful thinking.

Here's my opinion on the main cast:

Baird-Paul Walker(My friend Suggested it)

Cole- The big black guy from The Longest Yard, I think his name is Bob Sapp

Dom-The Rock, that would be awesome:D

Marcus-I really don't know, Mark Wahlberg maybe?

Thats just my opinion though

Only two things wrong with the casting above. Paul walker wouldn't be well as a smartass computer genious. And Mark Wahlberg isn't beefy enough to be Marcus. In short....they're too pretty boyish.

On the other hand Wahlberg as Max Payne is gonna be awesome!
