I cant decide which one is scaryer its probably condemd cause you have less controle of whats happening to you whereas in fear it just uses freaky lighting and fast pased action.
the part of condemned that jumps out at me is either the scene in the abandoned house with the rocking horse or whatever it was (it's been a few months, forgive me for not being as descriptive as I should be) or in the locker rooms when you find the body and the guys still alive.
good grief, that game's just as good as a quality horror movie. fear on the other hand... not sure why it got such high ratings. its a port of a dated PC title. It handles as such.
Condemned definitely gets my vote. Fear had some good atmosphere but at the end of the day you alway have the motion slowdown and weapons up the wazzu to rely on. Condemned pretty much had you searching constantly for weapons just to stay alive. And for me the lighting and sound of Condemned really put it on a very high level of immersion. LOL...you play alone, in the dark sound cranked and you will feel your pulse quicken almost guaranteed!
FEAR wasnt even scary at all...and by the way I love condemned I cant wait for the 2nd game. Not saying FEAR isnt a good game though, I love FEAR, but no..it wasnt scary.
Condemed, although I think it was becuase it was my first 360 game and I really didin't know what to expect, I thought it was like a CSI thing, so the graphics and the atmosphere was all unexpected and new.
wow i thinki really should play condemned. i have fear i personally think it a has some scary parts. but the way you people say condemned is scarier then maybe i should try it
Id say condemed is more fun and scarier like the atmosphere was perfect like the dude chops ur finger off that was un expected and the locker room scene and just the whole school the mall was pretty scewed up to just god it was scary
condemned but i think that FEAR is a better game because in condemned all you do is beat the crap of druggies with pipes and sticks where in FEAR theres much more of a variety and i like shooters more than.... blunt-object-beating games... i dont know what else to call condemned
I would definitely say Condemned, that game just has some of the most vicious gameplay, fantastic sound design and really solid and creepy graphics. I was just playing FEAR the other night, and i realised ( not the first to do that though :P) that FEAR relies on chock effects where as Condemned uses more of its amazing atmosphere to constantly keep you afraid of whats lurking behind the next corner. In my opinion Condemned wins on being the scariest of those to.

I'd say Codemned  is much scarier than FEAR and is the better game for the same reasons people have already said. It's the only game were I have had to hug the walls and hide in the corner of a room. just waiting...for anything to come at me, that's when your truly scare dof the game. A true class A horror game. I think we need a sequel and i hope Sega make one because it'sjust brilliant, it's so under appreciated.
Damn you guys!!! I beat Condemned and sold it awhile back....now you're all making me remember how sweet that game was and I think i'm going to head to EBgames now and get a used copy. Now that I have a new 55" HDTV, I can't wait to see that at night!!!
