Fable/Mass Effect>Halo/Gears of War IMO

I agree too. But that just shows my taste in genre more than the quality of the games.

That's a high ball comparison, if you ask me - all of those games have their qualities and are great in their own right. I don't think Fable's in the league of Gears of War and Mass Effect -- it had a great concept, but it wasn't worked on well (dull story, easy). Halo's a great series, with it's own merits, but I - and it's important to notice that this is MY opinion - think that, due to its lack of emotional attachment/campaign grandeur, Halo falls behind GoW and Mass Effect.

Gears of War is still the icon of the Xbox 360 - the best exclusive title for the console. Mass Effect is just as great, but a few gameplay issues tarnished the game's perfection (and those extremely boring Mako sequences). I say this without favoritism for any of the genres (RPG, Third Person Shooter + RPG, First Person Shooter and Third Person Shooter).

You can't compare these games, they're different types therefore don't have much in common. Now I will say Mass Effect is better than Fable. Fable 2 was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever played, it wasn't very good at all.

You basically said Hip Hop is better than Alternative Rock. You took two completely different genres and put them face to face and expect a good thread out of this? Naturally RPG fans will vote one way while Shooter fans will vote the opposite. Why don't you try comparing things that are within the same classification/genre?

I don't know how you can compare genres when the requirements for a good game are different in each...

Fable, Mass Effect and Gears of War are among my favourite games, so I couldn't really decide between them. I can't say I've ever felt compelled to play a Halo game. Something about it just doesn't appeal to me.
