defiantly not me some of the games i think have achievements that are to much of a 'chour' and no fun and some of the games I've played are just plain horrible , other than that i don't care for achievements as much as i used to
I wish I did, but the sad truth is that some of the achievements are just too hard. The GH2 or GH3 (when or if I get it) achievements are just way out of my reach. It's also kinda funny now that I think about it, when I first got my 360 I didn't even know about achievements, and looking back I should start up some of my older games and finish those achievements off.
Not even close im probably at 60% or so. I have going back to do time consuming acheivments like gathering flags in AC, its not that fun. A lot i dont have many acheivments for are the ones ive rented.
I have kind of a noobish question, but i am probably getting a 360 for christmas, so i want to know. Do you automatically get achievement points as you do stuff in the game and does it tell you when you do? Also, do you use them for anything, or are they just there for bragging rights?
Drummer there actaully completly pointless but for some reason there really addicting, all they are are points you get for doing something in a game for example an achievement in the orange box was get 1000 total kills in tf2, these points add up for a total and every time you get one your 360 will notify you. They cant be used for anything there just addicting for some weird reaon that i cant explain. :D
I dont think that i could get 1000 in any of my games. I get to bored of trying to get everything accomplished but i still try to earn as many as i can without overdoing it.
i'm not even at 50% yet. i've only had my 360 for a few months now, but it is very addicting to try to get them. very pointless, but very addicting. i've been playing dead rising a lot lately, and i doubt if i'll ever even get 1000 on that one. i just don't know if i want to spend the time getting all the survivors out and wearing all the clothes. but it's not a big deal to me. i just try to make sure my gamescore is higher than my ex's. :P

The game doesn't tell you to do it at any certain point in the game. You can look at the list for the game and it shows yoou wnat you need to do to get them. And, yes, they're just for bragging rights.
Lawl, hell no. I have probably 35% of my achievements out of the 7 games (4 own three borrowed)... But yeah, they are like some hidden force thats addicting (and self satisfying) to get the job done, other than DOA4, some of those are just BS.

First, yes, and some you have work towards, but there's a little icon that appears saying "acheviement name and gamerscore".
Second, No there pretty much just so you can make ppl kiss your ass. :)
I did for a while, because my first two games were Oblivion and Fight Night Round 3. Don't now, nor shall I ever given that I have both Guitar Hero games (which I'm not great at) and Quake IV.
The only game thatI have all the achievmentscompleted is Oblivion, It's prabally the easiest game you could have every achievement in.

trust me its not the easiest game (sorry for my spelling) i once went on a lil achievement rampage and played lets just say, odd games lol. heres an example, Open Season, n trust me they get worse lol
Ugh, I don't have 1000 in any of my games. Highest is Call of Duty 4, I have about 280 (but I'm not done the game yet). Lowest is NHL 08, I have a grand total of 1 achievement
why are you botherd about acheivements that like forgetting the gaming , the true thing is the gaming like on ps3 they concentrate on gaming not sad acheivement points that award you when you do soming.
