So I see that microsoft is now putting the 20gb xbox on "clearance" to 300$. And that in a matter of week/weeks the 60gb xbox system is coming out for a price of 350$. To be honest i'm a bit confused. I don't believe that the 60gb system will have the jasper GPU because I've read countless news articles saying that the jasper xbox 360s will be released in august or sometime in the fall. Does this mean that the 60gb will be dropping to 300 when the jasper comes out?????? Or does this mean that the jasper 360s will be less than the 60gb systems???????
The 60GB models for now don't have the Jasper chipset, there was a thread on there boards somewhere with proof. If you want to wait for the Jasper, then be my guest, but if you want to buy a 360 now, don't get the 20GB model, get the 60GB model, some stores are already selling them.
Or you could just wait till the next gen systems come out. You could just read on here how the games are and how much fun were having. It will be like you have a 360 without any worries.
The real question is do you want to have a 360 to play on this summer?
If YES, then buy one now.
If you want to wait for the Jasper 360 with 60GB HDD, then chances are you will be waiting until after the Summer, and then have less free time to play on it

Exactly. How many threads are we going to see like this? "I want the jasper chip, blah blah blah." What you're saying is you want a piece of hardware without any problems whatsoever. Sorry sonny but there is no such thing. You're living in an imaginary world that's perfect. Sorry about the late notice but this is reality.
I seriously doubt a price cut this holiday, if they do it will soley be because they are loosing sales to PS3, NOT because of the jasper chip. They would never cut the price of a console because of the chip, at least when they first come out with it.

no the price wont change when they bring the jasper out. they only dropping the price of the 20gb coz it wudnt be fair to sell them the same price they selling the 60gb at. and if they did then the 20s wudnt sell very well at all. and when they start using jasper they odds one will be using it in most of the new builds not just the 60gb model. but they dont drop the price just because it costs they less to make. they just upping the spec of the hard drive so they can charge the same. they only dropping the 20gb price coz its being replacd by the 60gb model and u cant charge the same for them and people wont buy them if they keep them the same price. dont expect a drop for the 60gb just coz change in gpu they never done that before and doubt they will. the other consoles taking price cuts is more likely than anything to bring on the next xbox price drop.
