ok i know this happens to other people so im hoping someone out here has at least a temporary solution to this.

Anyway, my disc tray occasionally doesnt eject right....it will get stuck or something before any of the actual tray is visible.

Wth do i do!? Im not sure if they have viagra for 360s but is there some sort of maintenence needed or what?

I've been coping with the same problem for three years, ever since I got my launch unit. This is what I typically do:

You know where the eject button is? When your disc tray hitches and won't open lightly press on the disc tray area to the immediate right of that button (or if you have it vertical to the immediate bottom). You may have to deal with a rinse and repeat cycle where if that doesn't work, press the eject button to close the tray, trying opening it again, and then lightly pressing in that area I described.

Does it suck? Yes. Does it work? Yes.

Hope that helps.

I have the same problem and it happens 90% of the time if there is not game in the tray. I have to push eject and then kind of push it a bit. If all else fails you can manually eject it by taking the face plate off and there is a tiny hole for a paper clip which pushes the tray out. It won't hurt it at all (that is what it is for) but it is a pain!

I have sort of the opposite problem with it closing. I always have to tap the drive sideways after I hit the eject button for it to close.

This is one of the best-phrased things I've read in a long time. Kudos.

Anyway, I have not had that problem... so hopefully the above suggestions help you.

I have this problem as well and I have had it for well over a year. Sometimes it doesnt open and all the time it doesnt close unless I give the smallest push to the drive. Its rather annoying but I am not willing to send it to be fixed and have it come back with 12 other problems lol. It's just something you have to deal with I suppose.
