RTS's are great if you give them some time.  I don't have a good PC so I don't get to play many.  Back in the day, starcraft consumed my life!

owyeah, i was hyped for this game a long time. i played command and conquer tiberiun sun, red alert, red alert 2, and now i am going to play command and conquer 3! I was surprised that all the cutscenes were in HD. And when you quit the demo, it says "90 minuts of HD cutscenes". Wow! Also, the graphics looked pretty good, and the gameplay was fun as hell. Definitly a buy!

My 360 is broken so I have not been able to play it. Battle for Middle Earth 2 was good though and my only real complaint (for RTS on console standpoint) was the lag when fighting bigger battles (though still small battles for RTS standards).

I will probably get it, I loved my 55 wins and 4 losses in Battle for Middle Earth online. I never did play all that many RTS games for the PC but these console gamers, wow. I once fell asleep after my men to attack the enemy base (I didn't even attack with a large force) when I woke up I had won the game.

I downloaded it and I really didn't get it.

Unless you don't play RTS games I don't see what is not to get. If you have never played an RTS game before there is usually a tutorial or training mode and the first few single player missions usually teach you some basics. People sometimes put their strategies online as well.

Yeah, I have it on my 360. I lost few battles, it's my first RTS. What I don't get is, how is it possible they can build their armies fast just enough to outnumbered my armies? I still enjoyed it.

This game is good but I'm not sure if I will buy it. After playing the demo I thought to myself if this is worth the purchase and I'm still debating. I have play'd lots of RTS and this one was ok wasn't bad but I think it could be better for some reason ionno it's probably because it's a demo.

i have played all the C&C games all were a blast this is my first rts on the 360, must say the controls are layed out amazing well, i mean a mouse would always be my first choice but after doing the tranining mission and playing the 2 GDI missions a few times i found the interface to be very quick and easy to use.

even the short cuts are easyer to get to the on a keybourd and seting rally points for units to be set to after buliding is easy, it does a great job of making u think about the action on screen insteed of the controls.

did not get into any online games as sadly got the 3 red lights of death, so now on 360 #4 so will have to wait till next month to play this again

Meh never been much of a fan of C&C and this game gives me no reason to become one. Very basic RTS really, nothing much special about it, except for maybe those awful cutscenes. After playing the demo I popped in Battle for Middle Earth II and still found that game a hell of a lot better (and stilll more unique as far as RTSs go).

Sigh. Back in the day when RTS were 2D, they were good.

But now? It's 60% "If you're not fast enough, you're screwed", 20% "Why o why does the camera suck so much? Wouldn't it be, like, better if it were fixed? In what way exactly do 3D-graphics enhance this genre?" and 20% Strategy. They should call it Real-Time-Strategy-Racing-Games.

something ive been pondering : £32 on the pc with probably more options, easier controls and better graphics, or £40 for the 360 with easier match making with freinds better voice support and camera support. Its a toughy.

Ehm, yeah... if you build you're base undefended then you're not a very good strategist. When you're opponent notices you are not defending you're base you can expect an assault on it. So it's all you're fault you're getting rushed. I played around 30 games and I haven't lost a single one. Especially not to a rush.

And 3D graphics just look better. You have such a weak point that it's RTS it doesn't need 3D graphics. I wonder how cool Gears of War would be with Doom graphics.

I hear ya on that. 2D RTS games seem to have a much faster pace. The units all seem to move kinda sloowwwwlllyyy in these new 3D games. And the camera is a little messed up too.
