Cliffy B Confirms 4-Player Co-op in Gears 3

Hey guys the hype train has started really early for the final installment of Epic's massive 3rd person shooter, Gears of War 3. Set to release April 5, 2011, it's sure sell in the millions. However, even though it's early, Cliffy B is not afraid to give us some detail. Via twitter, he confirmed that Gears of War 3 will indeed include 4-player Co-op in the story mode. On a side note, he also confirmed that the women in the trailer was Anya, the Delta Squad dispatcher that you may or may not remember. What do you guys think of Gears of War 3 co-op.

It's going to be insane. I think GeoW3 will sell 12 million copies alone. 4-player co-op means that the level design will be on a greater scale.. in order to fit 4 players into cover, whenever and wherever they want. More enemies on screen to balance the difficulty. And just imagine the boss fights with 4 players? Nostalgic...Elian2530

Seeing Anya is mostly sure to be a playable character it makes you wonder who will be left out. As far as i'm concerned someone between Dom, Baird and Cole will get killed during the story.

Im a little excited about Gears 3. Lets just hope the fix the issues that were present in the Gears 2 multiplayer.

I'd actually kind of like for Gears of War 3 to have a depressing ending, kind of like Saving Private Ryan where Tom Hanks dies at the end, he was the main character and you didn't want him to die.

Well, they're all in the trailer, so I'm not sure. They probably will kill off one of the main four, but idk. My prediction is that they will kill off desperate hobo Dom at the end. He just has nothing to lose anymore.

My question is if there will be 4-player SPLIT SCREEN co-op. If so, I will buy two copies. That's a promise.
