I send mine from the computer to the Xbox through Media Center via wireless network works with Apple too, with a download from Xbox 360. You can also hook up your I Pod, with a media update on XBL.

Actually you can, By using a Flash Drive, they're relativley cheap. Like $20 for a 1-2gig flash drive. But you'll need to convert them into a file that the 360 will recognize, just go to videora.com and download the 360 converter. You can also play music from your ipod, but I'm not too sure about videos.

You can use a USB drive, I have a 160GB hard drive hooked up to mine that I play HD videos off of. It just has to be formated as fat32 and the files have to be compatible(.wmv, .mp4, or .avi with divx or xvid)

As long as its one of the supported formats, you can. I did it last night. You can also stream through your network via media center or via the 'videos' tab in the dashboard which works the best i find... and the obvious, off a dvd (burned or real).

The biggest limitation is the fileformats and codecs they support.
