50/50 chance here, im not sure. but they think its a bomb depending on your age. but if you have it with all you clothing luggage then you maybe able to bring it by your side.

Like play it on the plane? Cause thats a definate No. I'm sure you can bring it with you but it be easier to put it in another luggage that you dont bring with you.

They're not going to think it's a bomb, that would just be ridiculous. People take consumer electronics on flights every day - how do you think business execs take their laptops from city to city? You'll be fine. I reccommend that you take it as your hand luggage rather than checking it - the baggage guys really throw stuff around. Better that you keep it with you. You'll probably need to take it out of your bag and put it in a separate tray to put it through the xray scanner though, just like a laptop.

I took mine on a plane and also another bag for my laptop... I got one of those xbox 360 messenger bags. The 360 isnt a considered a carryon.... its a personal item, and in the bag, its like an over sized man purse if you will lol I didnt have any hastles and I about 12 different electronic devices with me.... carried them all on.

Yeah, when I fly I'm usually festooned with electronic gizmos. I look like a walking Circuit City. It's never a problem as long as they all go through the xray.

Of course you can. I've taken my 360 and my ps3 in 3 flights. I just have a backpack for my laptop and a laptop bag for my 360, they treat it like every other carry on, and then let it go.

I've done it a bunch of times. All you have to do is take it out of your backpack and show it to them (liek you have to do with laptops).

I assume mean normally and not as carry on. It should be ok but since they think bottle water and nail clippers are dangerous weapons anything is possible.

Make sure you bring the cord if you take it as a carry-on. A few fears ago I had to turn on my DS to prove that is worked....etc. and wasn't a bomb

But a month ago I just carried it on after it was x-rayed.

dude the manual says  don't leave the batteries inside the controlers when on a plane cuz its messes up the communications on the plane so when you bring your controller dude, take out the batteries!!!

Ya but those Execs are asked to turn on all of their devices to prove that they are in fact laptops and other consumer electronics.  You can take it with you but put it in your luggage.
