Can anyone remember the first time they played their 360?

I can, it was quite funny really because the colours were all dodgy so I thought it was broken and was totally wounded. But it turned out it was just because I had my TV on the wrong channel. It took me at least an hour to figure that out too.

Anybody else remember the time they opened their 360 box for the first time and hit the power button?

I remember that I bought a 40 inch hdtv and 360 at the same day. I must have enjoyed it! :D

I got mine maybe a month after launch, my friend chris and i went to a local hastings to just look around and they just happened to get one in while we were at the store. i bought it without a second thought along with quake 4. went home and played it for hours...

June 9th 2006, if i remember correctly. I got it with a copy of the old Far Cry for Xbox.

I went and swapped it for the newer one and i loved it, right until i got to the point were i couldn't get past a few people.

Haha some of your stories are great, It seems a lot of people were mostly blown away by their shiny new HD graphics.

I have something to add to my 'First Day' story... I'm ashamed to say that the first game I owned and played on my 360 was King Kong. :oops: However having said that it was probably the best graphics demo out!

Are you sure you weren't just blinded by the shiny floors? Yeah, I think that was the second game I bought and I really like it (apart from the floors) especially the multiplayer because it was the first time I ever had any kind of online multiplayer experience on a console. I lost my LIVE virginity to Joanna Dark. :P

Awwww, the good old days!!! It was December '05 and I was bummed because I had been looking for the 360 for about a month after launch and I couldn't find it. I was driving home from a 24/7 Walmart at around 04:30 am in the morning (I used to work the late shift) and, just for kicks, I decided to drive pass the local Best Buy. What I saw was a line of about 20 people and I had an instinct on what they were waiting for. I decide to stop and ask the guy in front of me what he was waiting on and he told me that his neighbor was a manager at the Best Buy and he said they were receiving 32 360s that day. I jump in line, call my buddy up, and wait until 9 am. The first 32 people received a voucher for a 360 and as soon as they opened up the doors, I rushed to the games section, picked up COD2, Condemned, PGR3, an extra controller, and some batteries. I picked up my console at the checkout and walked away with $650 less than what I walked in with but it was worth it. The first thing I did when I got home was pop in COD2 and played it for about 5 hours straight. I remember the glitch that would restart your game after you made it so far. I must've replayed the first 2 hours of the game 10 times until I checked online and found out about that glitch.
