So I really want to get a 360 elite console. I am just hesitant because it does not have blu-ray. I mean I don't want to spend $600 bucks or more for a stand-alone blu-ray player. I don't want to buy a PS3 just for the blu-ray capabiliites. I don't really have a reson to buy a PS3 when all of the games will come out for the 360 anyway. With HD-DVD officially dead, I want to make sure the elite will have blu-ray before I shell out another $400+ for another console.

There were some rumors since HD-DVD died but has anything been confirmed?

That's not necessarily true. Sony and Toshiba both used the VHS format. They will still make money if they license the blu-ray technology for usr in the 360. I magine that , how sweet would it be for sony to make money off of the 360 for their blu-ray techology in a competitor's product!

Are we going to see Xbox 360 games on Blu Ray discs? No.

Are we going to see a 360 console with a Blu Ray drive built-in? No.

Are we going to see a 360 Blu Ray add-on for movies? I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. Microsoft has already stated that they were willing to look into such a thing. It was even documented on this site.
