Blue L.E.D Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

Let me know what you guys think about this.. Just finished it up yesterday afternoon. Red and Orangeled's are on the way, and that will be next week's project..

also, looks awesome, i was consiering doing that to the actual console, but i wont for fear of RROD.

Quite honestly, if you could modify a black controller for me with purple LEDs, I'd probably buy one.septemberluc

All you need is a controller and something with a purple LED like a computer case fan... then you just take the LED out of the fan and solder in place of the green one... not really complicated... LED lights are in my opinion... the least complicated electronics ever... just a positive and a negaitve cable... and it glows... thats it...

Not to steal your thunder, but the l.e.ds in the 360 controllers ring, are not standard l.e.ds. The ones that control the ring are surface mount l.e.ds. They are about the size of a small ant. and you have to solder them directly to the circuit board.. which wouldnt be so bad or as risky if they weren't so freakin small! lol but there is a lot more to it that what you said. But if it were a regular xbox controller, i would agree with you. But the 360 is different.

Yeah.. I know what you mean.. having gone through 5 consoles myself. Haha. But the L.E.D.s in the console are the same ones that are in the controller. But to get to the ones in the console...is tricky to say the least haha.

I would buy one with the face buttons lite uphenriktx

I can do this as well. Let me know exactly how interested you are. And we can arrange making this for you. Also as a note to anyone else wanting one. I can do individual colors. Such as quadrant one of the ring blue, 2 red, 3 yellow, 4 orange.. or however you wanted to do it. Can light the ABXY buttons up as well. Also other options I can do. Such as, led's light up when the rumble pack kicks in..etc..

I think it is awesome... I love blue more than green so if it wouldn't void my warranty I would be next in line to buy... (not for $90 though because it is a simple replacement of LED lights which is just 2 hard cables and a quick solderSqueets

The l.e.ds in the controller are a bit more than that to change. They are surface mount l.e.ds They are tiny and difficult to solder to the board perfectly (trust me). They are about the size of a small ant. You can barely see it when its sitting on the tip of your finger. The result, however, is very dramatic. The pictures I took aren't the best, but it looks way better when you have it in hand.. they are sweet.

Also, its not going to void any warranty.. except on the controller.. but obviously you knew that much. haha. But it does not void any other warranty. Just so you know.

man that's cool looking and all but i agree, that price is pretty steep. I mean at sams club i can get 2 plain old controllers for less than what you're charging just for one, mildly modded controller. I'd say charge an additional $10 per controller and you'd be in much better shapetonyandsteff

I'm paying $50 for new controllers. And charging an extra $20 for parts + labor to mod the controller. Honestly that is a good price!
