Blue Dragon $20?

I played the demo for Blue Dragon and hated it. So much...

But then I saw Blue Dragon new at HMV today for $20 and I couldn't pass it up.

I've played many demos that do the true game absolutely no justice, and have heard from a few people that that is the case with Blue Dragon. So my question to anyone who is a JRPG fan and has played Blue Dragon is:...Is it worth playing through?

It's definite worth a play through, it has some awesome parts as well as corny parts. But, all in all it's pretty great. The zones and towns are well designed. I like the feel the scenery gives off. Though I couldn't get over the whole, your shadow does everything combat. I wanted to buy armor, and new swords and use special slashing attacks =p.
